Hi fur-iends! It’s me, Tica—Chief Happiness Officer of the Brad Kappel Team and proud connoisseur of Chesapeake Bay coffee shop patios. While my humans sip their lattes and chat about waterfront real estate, I’m on the lookout for the next best pup cup (and hopefully a biscuit or two).
Here are some of my favorite stops around Annapolis and Anne Arundel County where the treats are top-notch, the patios are pup-friendly, and the vibes are pure Bay life:
☕ Oscar's Coffee | Eastport, Annapolis
Oscar’s is one of my go-to spots for a morning adventure. With a cozy Eastport location and waterfront views, it’s the perfect spot to soak up sunshine and watch the boats go by. My humans love the espresso and local pastries, and I’m a big fan of the friendly staff who always greet me with a smile (and sometimes a treat!).
☕ Rise Up | Market House, Downtown Annapolis
There’s nothing more Chesapeake Bay than tying up at the dinghy dock and walking over to Rise Up for a fresh cup of coffee. This Market House favorite has sustainable beans, cold brew on tap, and outdoor seating where I can lounge and people-watch to my heart’s content. Pup cup approved!
☕ Bean Rush Café | West Annapolis
Bean Rush has the best shady porch for relaxing after a walk through West Annapolis. It’s cozy, casual, and filled with locals. My humans swear by their breakfast sandwiches and oat milk lattes, while I adore the friendly pups I meet on the patio and the occasional whipped cream treat.
☕ The Big Bean | Severna Park
If you find yourself cruising up the B&A Trail, The Big Bean in Severna Park is the paw-fect place to refuel. My humans grab their famous iced coffee while I enjoy the outdoor tables and all the dog-watching. Bonus: they sometimes have pup treats behind the counter!
☕ Black Market Bakers | Edgewater
Talk about drool-worthy! Black Market Bakers in Edgewater is a must-visit for humans and hounds alike. Their handcrafted pastries, artisan breads, and specialty drinks keep the humans happy, while I soak in the breeze on their pup-friendly patio.
